Larry Davidson, M.D., FAANS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with over 30 years of experience treating a wide range of back and neck conditions, including disc degeneration and spinal tumors. As the primary partner of Advanced Spinal and Neurosurgical Associates (ASNA), he combines a deep commitment to patient outcomes with the latest advancements in minimally invasive spinal surgery — techniques that reduce complications and support faster recoveries. Education & Training
Dr. Davidson was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before attending the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Florence County Medical Society, and the South Carolina Medical Association.
Outside his practice, Dr. Davidson has been married to Sandra, a former neurosurgical ICU and Flight nurse. The couple met while studying for their undergraduate degrees at Chapel Hill in 1980.
The Davidsons have two adult daughters, Anna and Emily.
